7.6.1 Common [6-1]

The PBX automatically selects the least expensive route (carrier) available at the time a long-distance call is made on an outside (CO) line that has Automatic Route Selection (ARS) enabled. The user-dialled number is checked and modified in order to connect to the appropriate carrier.

ARS Mode

Enables ARS mode used when making calls using the specified outside (CO) lines.

1st Carrier Selection Code

Specifies the First Carrier Access code. When this code is dialled, the first carrier is selected regardless of ARS.

Dial Tone Type for ARS

Selects the dial tone that the PBX sends to the caller when a call is made with the ARS feature. The tone will stop after the first digit (except for an account code) is dialled.

ARS Inter-digit Time

Selects the inter-digit time used when the PBX checks the dialled number with the ARS feature. This setting should be the same as the timer specified in Inter-digit Time on the 7.1.7 Timers [1-6] screen.

7.6.2 Routing Plan [6-2]

A maximum of 4 Routing Plan tables can be programmed.

7.6.3 Itemised Billing Codes [6-3]

An Itemised Billing code can be programmed for each extension. It is possible to add the Itemised Billing code assigned to an extension to the Authorisation code for the carrier for each outside (CO) line. The order of the Itemised Billing code and the Authorisation code can be specified for each Routing Plan number in Sequence of Transmitted codes on the 7.6.2 Routing Plan [6-2] screen.

Jack

Indicates the jack number (reference only).

Code
